Follow the Moon Home

Cousteau, P.; Hopkinson, D.
This picture book tells the story of Vivienne, who has moved to a new town, and joins a group of students who want to help make a difference and support an environmental cause to help save sea turtles. Written by the grandson of Jacques Cousteau, this book could be used with grades K-7. A useful read-aloud with primary students to promote discussion for journal writing and drawing; in higher grades it could demonstrate the enquiry process. The book could be used to introduce habitats, animal adaptations in the environment, and the role that humans play in helping the environment.
