Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue, The

Lee, M.
This rollicking historical novel follows Monty Montague, his sister, and best friend as they set off on their Grand Tour of Europe before they must settle down and become respectable adults. While Monty’s father expects him to learn about art and culture, Monty is determined to make this his last fling and his reckless decisions bring on many harrowing situations that make him examine everything he knows, including morals and ethics. This adventure novel for grades 9-12 introduces the 18th century but also deals with issues faced by teens today, e.g. relationships with peers and friends, sexuality, sexual identity, self-discovery, and morals and ethics.
