Geography of You and Me, The

Smith, J.E.
Lucy and Owen, from very different backgrounds, spend a single yet innocent night together during a city-wide blackout, but soon after Lucy moves to Europe and Owen and his father go on a road trip to find a new home and deal with the death of Owen’s mom. They stay in touch through postcards and emails, but their lives continue independently, yet they cannot forget their special connection and about a year later meet again in New York. This coming-of-age novel, told in alternating views of the characters, is suitable for literature circles or independent study, and to prompt discussion of loss of a parent, long distance relationships, and fitting in when moving to new places.
