Girl Up

This feminist guide for young women looks at the issues women and girls face today. Using real-life and hypothetical examples to illustrate concepts, the guide addresses female anatomy and topics such as consent, sexism, gender inequality, feminism, dating, assault, and abusive relationships. The informal, and sometimes blunt, approach and humour may appeal to and connect with teenagers. Teachers can select chapters and graphics to support a particular unit in grade 9-12 classes. Some social considerations noted.
