When Pippa looks into the earlier murder-suicide of Andie Bell and her boyfriend Sal Singh, she enlists the help of his brother Ravi as they suspect Sal was innocent. Pip unearths lies and deceit and hard truths in the community, and when she is warned and then threatened to stop investigating, she knows they are on the right track. This engaging novel uses many formats to present information, including text, a journal/assignment "log" with research and footnotes, transcripts of conversations, pictures of hand written notes, and screenshots. Suitable as a classroom novel or literature circle title for grades 10-12. Social considerations noted.
