Gossamer
In the real-world daytime story, a lonely 73-year-old woman agrees to foster John, an 8-year-old boy who is traumatized and lives apart from his abusive father and his struggling mother who is too fragile to care for him just yet. The fantasy world of night-time brings the dream-givers, creatures who help humans by gathering memories from personal objects and bestowing dreams upon people while they sleep.
