Habitat Conservation Trust Fund Education, Grades K-7

Students in Grade K–7 can access this comprehensive online tool to learn about conservation, explore BC habitats, and engage with the natural world. Students can easily navigate the site, learning about various habitats in British Columbia. The site offers a user-friendly and in-depth experience allowing students to explore multiple educational resources in different formats. Elementary-level teachers may access assessment rubrics and scaffolding options and discover that the resource contains many cross-curricular educational resources. Teachers may emphasize the theme of being responsible caretakers of the land and invite students to reflect on the impacts of climate change. Teachers may also encourage students to engage in the various hands-on projects offered or incorporate some of the suggested games in their classrooms.
