Hear The Wolves

Sloan is an excellent young hunter but having been lost in the woods, she is insecure and afraid of being alone. When her father and sister go to town, intentionally leaving her alone, a woman is attacked by a wolf and needs to get to a doctor. Sloan, her teacher, her friend Elton, and Elton’s father set off on a dangerous adventure to get her to town, and when a pack of wolves stalks them, they must use their wits to survive. This exciting tale of wilderness survival for grades 7-9 will be useful for writing activities, discussions, and role playing, and explores issues of family relationships, problem-solving, loneliness, fear, and survival.
