Here's To Us

Albertalli,B., Silvera, A.
Former boyfriends Ben and Arthur meet in New York two years later and face awkward moments as they learn to navigate this new friendship as well as their own new romantic relationships and endeavours: Ben is an aspiring writer and Arthur is an intern to the director’s assistant for an Off-Broadway play. Through it all, they wonder whether their break-up was the right thing to have done or whether there is a chance to rekindle their relationship. This realistic novel is written from both characters’ perspectives, in alternating chapters. Suitable for a classroom library or literature circle for mature students. A sequel: students may want to read the first novel first. Note: several instances of profanity and sexual connotation/discussion; teachers will want to consider readers and their maturity level.
