Hollow Tree, The

Lunn, Janet
Phoebe Olcott is a docile young woman on the American Frontier in Vermont when the American War of Independence erupts, shattering her world. Her father is killed fighting for the Americans, while her older cousin is hung as a British spy. Phoebe decides to go on a dangerous journey to complete the mission her cousin had begun, not out of loyalty to Britain, but in order to save the lives of innocent settlers. In the process of that journey, she develops confidence and self reliance.
