How to Code a Sandcastle
It is Pearl and her robot Pascal’s last visit to the beach this summer and she is determined to finally build the perfect sandcastle. They find the perfect spot and materials and start building, and when Pearl encounters any difficulties, she considers the problems and revises her instructions to achieve success. This informational picture book for K-4 is well-designed and an excellent introduction to code that covers important concepts and techniques, such as breaking big problems down into smaller tasks, considering sequence, and using loops and conditional instructions, in a clear, interesting, entertaining, and accessible manner for young learners.
