How to Hug a Pufferfish
All his friends – an octopus, a lobster, a starfish – want to hug Pufferfish but Pufferfish doesn’t always want to be hugged or might want a different kind of hug. Pufferfish’s friends learn to ask for his consent and to be aware of how to give a suitable hug that doesn’t startle or alarm Pufferfish and respects his personal space. Suitable as a read-aloud to teach children about individual uniqueness, boundaries, and how to ask for consent, and to launch group discussions and individual work on consent, respect, and communication. Rich, pastel-coloured illustrations and expressive sea creatures will engage young students.
