A rat named Bob cleverly avoids being eaten by two cats, Brutus and Muffin, by combining and intertwining fairy tales to entertain the cats. After Bob finishes telling all of the stories, he tricks the cats by telling them he will write them all down for them to read, but needs to write alone. The clever and scintillating humour makes this book a lot of fun to read and will captivate reluctant readers.
