Identity

Identity is a video resource that promotes increased understanding of Aboriginal communities in Canada, specifically the Blackfoot, Cree, Dene and Metis. Elders of various communities share their knowledge and culture to help younger people develop their identity. The video is easily accessible, well-organized, and easy to follow. It includes various images of Aboriginal students and elders, Aboriginal drums, artifacts, and natural surroundings. Suitable for grades 4 through 8, the information presented is accurate and addresses the PLO's for teaching about Aboriginal culture.
