Intersection Allies: We Make Room for All
This resource provides nine accounts of children of varying class, race, gender, and ability, or those who choose to lead unique lives via their language, clothing, work, or migration. It examines individual identity within the context of community, and how children from diverse backgrounds can support each other. Suitable for read-aloud, independent reading, or school and class libraries, it can promote discussion of teamwork, joint problem-solving, overcoming obstacles, multiculturalism, loss and affirmation of identity, tradition, role of family, connection to the land, relationships between the individual and community.
