Jack and the Geniuses at the Bottom of the World
Three emancipated foster siblings, Ava and Matt, the geniuses, and Jack, who is struggling to find his identity, are befriended by famous scientist, Hank Witherspoon, who whisks them off to Antarctica to help with his experiments. There they help find Hank's colleague who has mysteriously disappeared, by using the geniuses' inventions and Jack's critical thinking skills. This action-packed story will be enjoyed by grade 4-7 students, and can be a good starting point to discuss foster care, family dynamics, and the need to have caring and responsible adults in one's life.
