Kind of Sort of Fine

Hall, S.
Two high school students are determined to start their senior year with a new image. Hayley, an overachiever, wants to move away from the mental breakdown she suffered last school year and project a positive image, while Lewis, who has always been the comic sidekick, resolves to become the leading man in his life and get the girl of his dreams. When the two are paired in a film class they unexpectedly work well together and learn a lot about themselves along the way. This coming-of age novel, with realistic and relatable characters, explores friendship, pressures teens face, self-identity, body image, and mental health, and is suitable for novel studies or independent reading.
