Lawn Boy
Lawn Boy receives a riding lawn mower for his 12th birthday and mows lawns to earn money to help fix up his bike. His business takes off and a customer pays him in a stock-market account, teaches him the ins and outs of investing, and offers business advice that results in Lawn Boy developing a thriving business with many employees and owning a prize-fighting boxer. This funny and engaging story can broaden students’ knowledge of business and the economy and demonstrate the benefit of perseverance.
