Leap

Manning, C.
A young boy works hard to convince his classmates that he will make a journey to the Moon, and then leap off the Moon and float back to Earth. He reveals his plans for the journey, but then realizes that he will have to wait until after lunch to go on his trip. This picture book, written in rhyming couplets and accompanied by cartoon-like illustrations, will appeal to primary students. It can promote discussions about following hopes and dreams and developing confidence in their own ideas, and foster STEM-based, research, and writing activities.
