Libertad

Libertad is the eldest of two sons living in the Guatemala City dump. When his mother dies tragically, Libertad must use his wits to lead his little brother, Julio, to the safety of their father who is living illegally in America. This is a skeletal story of loss and struggle told effectively, through poetic forms such as free verse, and Villanelle.
