Literacy Place in the Early Years (LPEY): Grade 1 Extension Pack

This is an Oral Language Kit for Grade One. It contains a mixture of fiction, info-fiction and non-fiction books at a variety of reading levels as well as a large collection of hand puppets and audio CDs.Each of the small group shared reading/guided reading kits has a teaching plan which includes a variety of suggestions for before, during and after reading. The inquiry and oral language kits are suitable for whole group instruction and the shared/guided reading kits are appropriate for small group work. The puppets could be used for instructional purposes and as well could be part of a centre.
