Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy

Schmidt, Gary D.
Set near the beginning of the 20th century, this novel relates the story of Turner Buckminster and his struggle to fit into a new community on the coast of Maine. Turner, the son of Phippsburg’s new minister, makes the "mistake" of becoming friends with Lizzie, an inhabitant of the nearby Malaga Island. But as much as this is the story of Turner, it is the story of a town’s struggle to come to terms with a changing world.
