Losing Forever

Friesen, Gayle
Set during the summer in modern day Ontario, Jes is a young girl who finds herself in the midst of great change – and she doesn’t seem to have control over any of it. She mourns the loss of so many things, and her once “normal” life seems to be disappearing forever. Jes is a strong character and role model, who clearly expresses her opinions, albeit immaturely at first. But as the story progresses, she matures, and begins to learn that people and situations are not always as they appear.
