Maniac Magee

Orphaned and homeless, Jeffrey ‘Maniac’ Magee spends the first eight years of his life in bizarre circumstances. He then escapes to a fictional American town where he befriends many people on both sides of an area that is unofficially segregated into black and white neighbourhoods. Ultimately, the book is a journey of self-discovery for the main character.
