Matt Merton Mysteries, The

This exciting series of hi-lo readers, best suited to intermediate/advanced ELL students and teenage reluctant readers, tells the story of an alien invasion of Earth. Matt Merton, the main character, has the job of hunting down the aliens and destroying them. While Matt seeks out the aliens, and searches for his lost girlfriend, he questions the ethics of his job. Each story is told in simple English, has appealing illustrations, and includes guided questions that provide a platform for thinking critically before, during, and after reading the novel.
