Milkweed

Spinelli, Jerry
Misha has many names: "Stopthief", "Jew", and "Gypsy" to name a few. A naïve orphan, he lives on the streets and steals to survive. This highly philosophical narrative describes the events leading up to the Nazi takeover of Warsaw, Poland and then life behind the wall in a Jewish Ghetto. The content is stylistically rich and evokes a time in world history that should not be forgotten.
