Set in a country reminiscent of feudal Japan, Moribito is the first in a series featuring Balsa, a 30-something female warrior who earns her living as a bodyguard. Hired to guard twelve year old Chagum, the second prince, Balsa must protect him from his own father’s men as well as other-worldly creatures as Chagum fulfils his unique destiny. Magicians, warriors, Star-Readers and mythical creatures clash, compete, and ultimately must learn to work together to bring about peace.
