Move Over, Rover
Rover the dog is in search of a companion, and as a storm nears, animal guests are drawn into his dog house one by one. When an unwelcome guest finally arrives, Rover realizes that having some space to himself isn’t so bad after all. “Move Over, Rover” is an engaging picture book with colourful and vivid images, and it may be particularly appealing to a young audience at the early primary level. In the classroom, this book may be used as a read-aloud and may inspire thoughtful discussions and writing activities that focus on social responsibility, while its simple sentence structure and repetitive phrases allow for opportunities to develop reading strategies.
