Nest for Celeste, A

Cole, Henry
This novel focuses on the adventures of Celeste, a mouse who inhabits a plantation in Louisiana during the early 1800s. The other sub-plots are graphic and potentially disturbing. One of the main characters in this story is John James Audubon; he is a well-known ornithologist who, as was historically appropriate, had to kill the birds before he could paint them.
