#NeverAgain: A New Generation Draws the Line
The Hogg siblings, who survived the Parkland school shooting in Florida, detail their experiences, trauma, aftermath, and reaction to the shooting. The loss of their friends, peers, and school staff, coupled with the horror of other shootings, spurred the two to bridge their trauma with advocacy and start the #NeverAgain movement to say enough is enough and advocate for change and gun control. They also address social media and its use, abuse, and power. This timely resource for grades 7-12 provides opportunities to focus on activism, social justice, and the power of collective voices, and to encourage critical thinking and personal reflection.
