Number the Stars
Annemarie Johannesen, a young girl living in occupied Denmark, gradually learns about her family’s involvement in the Resistance. Annemarie’s best friend is Ellen Rosen, a Jewish girl. When the Rosens are targeted by the Nazis, the Johannesens decide to hide Ellen. At a critical moment, Annemarie manages to save the lives of the Rosens.
