Ocean Wise - Ocean Literacy

This Canadian resource aims to help students understand the oceans, human connections to the oceans, and how societal and human actions and personal decisions can have an impact on the oceans. Using engaging, current text, videos, visuals, and vibrant imagery, students can learn about a variety of topics related to the oceans, each of which has a story map to guide the students. Teacher resources include materials to support the use, implementation, and extension of the website in the classroom, as well as many lesson plans in English and French, and a variety of assessment tools. Useful for stand-alone lessons, individual inquiry, and to support further learning in grades 7-9.
