One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of the Gambia
This informative picture book traces the journey of Isatou Ceesay and four women in Gambia when they are distressed by the ugliness and negative impact of the plastic trash in their community. They decide to take action despite being ridiculed and having minimal resources, but their creativity and hard work for over a decade results in a much-reduced rubbish pile and their community becoming beautiful once again.
