One of Us is Lying
Five high-school students go into detention, but only four leave as the fifth is murdered. The four remaining students are all suspects and coincidentally all have hidden secrets that Simon was going to expose the next day on his blog. As the story develops more life-changing secrets are exposed before the murderer is discovered. This entertaining novel for grades 10-12 switches point of view as each of the four tells his or her side of the story. Suitable for a class novel study, literature circle, or silent reading, it could launch discussion of bullying, ethics, and social responsibility.
