Oryx and Crake

In a post-apocalyptic world, ‘The Snowman’ revisits his own past in a time that’s similar to our own. He tells us the progression of events that led to the demise of civilization. His early forays into Internet sites introduce him to Oryx, a South-East Asian girl caught up in the seamy world of child prostitution and Internet porn films. ‘Crake’ is the Internet name of a brilliant newcomer to his school. A journey that is a cautionary tale about what might happen if we're not careful.
