Princess Cora and the Crocodile
Princess Cora always follows her parents rules that will make her become a strong ruler: she studies books to be wise, she skips rope to become strong, and she bathes three times a day, but deep inside she is resentful that she does everything for them rather than for herself and is especially upset when they won’t let her have a pet. When Cora's fairy godmother sends a mischief-making crocodile, Cora has the adventures and freedom she desires and life in the castle is turned upside down. Suitable for read-aloud, small group, or individual reading, the short novel discusses personal identity and conforming to ideals and rules of others and is accompanied by playful illustrations.
