Friends Charlie, Taylor, and Jamie attend a fan convention where an Indie movie Charlie starred in is featured. It is a voyage of discovery for the girls: Charlie is bisexual and struggles with publicly starting her first relationship with a female and Taylor, who is autistic and suffers from extreme anxiety, meets her favourite author which helps her deal with her anxiety, and she and Jamie realize they are more than friends. The novel, with diverse characters and a simple writing style, is suitable as a literature circle novel for struggling readers, and a classroom or school library addition, and deals with anxiety, friendship, autism, sexuality, and accepting oneself.
