Rex Zero and the End of the World

Rex is a young boy who has moved to Ottawa from Vancouver with his large family and is starting to see his world as a much scarier place. Set against a backdrop of the Cold War between Russia and the USA, air raids, bomb shelters and gas masks seem to be on everyone's minds. Neighbours are creating plans for when the bomb will drop and to add to this there is a creature running wild in the local park, making it unsafe for children to go out at night.
