Safe House

This book depicts the clash between Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland in a very authentic way. The conflict is examined from both sides, with the wish for eventual peace shown through discussion of the Youth Circus (a place for both Catholic and Protestant youths to get to know each other), and the protagonist’s father’s part in the peace movement (shown through Liam’s memories in flashback form).
