Shepherd's Granddaughter, The

Amani is a 6 year old Palestinian girl who just wants to be a shepherd, but her world crumbles as Israeli settlements encroach on and ultimately destroy her family farm. This novel had the potential to be completely one-sided (in support of the Palestinian cause), but it offers a more complex view of the situation.
