This easy-to-read fantasy novel is about two bats who are trying to reconnect with their migrating family. Along the way they have many adventures and several suspenseful moments. Students may easily relate to the plight of the 'runt' who is made fun of and left out. Concepts of inclusion/exclusion, pride, family, friendship and survival are woven throughout.
