Eleven-year-old Will struggles with bullying and friendships at school and the last thing he wants to do is spend every Wednesday after school with his grandmother. Much to his surprise, though, when he discovers a suitcase full of his grandmother’s mementos from the 1960s and hears her stories about her youth, he forms a close bond with her and learns an incredible amount about life and events during the rapidly-changing revolutionary nineteen sixties.
