Smallest Girl In The Smallest Grade, The

Roberts, J.
Sally, the smallest girl in the smallest grade, is often overlooked, but she pays special attention to absolutely everything around her, including the bullying. When little Sally decides to stand up against the cruelty and unfairness that she sees at school, slowly others join her and small Sally makes a big difference. This picture book, written in rhyme, will appeal to K-3 students, who may be able to connect to school ground injustice and kindness. A good read-aloud selection that deals with bullying, social justice, effecting change, and courage. The detailed, bright illustrations resemble what students themselves might draw.
