Sparrow

The novel follows the life of an eighth-grade girl who struggles to fit in with her peers. After the death of a trusted adult in her life, she is left coping with some very difficult emotions through which she must learn to navigate, with support from therapy and from the new friendships she has developed with others who face similar challenges.
