Star in the Storm
The year is 1912, and 12-year-old Maggie has a problem. She lives in a sheep-raising community on the coast of Newfoundland where a new law has been passed – one that bans all dogs that aren’t sheepdogs. The wealthiest man in town, Howard Rand, is behind the move; Maggie’s dog, Sirius, is a Newfoundland hound.
