Story of Canada, The

This award-winning textbook follows a chronological timeline since Canada's inception, from pre-contact with European settlers through to 2017. It aims to present an unbiased account of historical events from multiple perspectives. There are many pictures, diagrams, maps, and illustrations to accompany the text, as well as a chronology of significant dates in Canadian history. Coloured boxes that are separate from the text include stories of individuals who are related to the historical events being discussed. Useful as a full class textbook for grades 8-10 or for individual research projects on notable Canadian figures or major events in Canada’s history.
