Stratford Festival

This Canadian website supports the teaching and understanding of six of Shakespeare’s plays. Each play has the text on the left of the screen and the performance on the right, and is accompanied by a toolkit with plot synopsis, discussion questions, lesson plans, and interviews with the creative team. The instructional activities encourage analysis, discussion, and active learning. Also included is a timeline of Shakespeare’s life, one-page summaries of other plays with synopses, curriculum connections, and Core Competencies. Teachers are encouraged to preview performances for scenes of violence, sexuality, and adult language.
