This sequel to Silverwing is an exciting, action-packed adventure novel in which the protagonist (a bat) seeks to find and rescue his father. This bat is a hero who experiences feelings students can relate to, such as jealousy, insecurity and fear. The villains are nasty enough to make the story interesting without promoting violence.
