Those Who Run in the Sky

Sixteen-year-old Inuit shaman Pitu gets lost in a storm and ends up in the world of the spirits where he must fight for himself and his people so that he can return to the world of the living. As he struggles in the spirit world he learns to accept his own strengths, weaknesses, and emotions, and to put pride and jealousy aside to learn from his mistakes. This Canadian coming-of-age story deals with growth, life, death, rebirth, resourcefulness, bravery, identity, and acceptance, and offers a glimpse into traditional Inuit culture, practices, and stories.
