Seventeen-year-old Marguerite has groundbreaking physicists for parents, and when her father is murdered she seeks to catch his killer by using a device her parents invented to travel through multiple universes. While the evidence points to a research assistant, the more Marguerite travels between universes, the more she learns about herself, her parents, and the Triad Company, and the more she doubts that he is the killer. This entertaining science fiction/adventure novel for grades 9-12 is primarily escape fiction suitable for a lit circle, but does raise the timely issues of the ethics of funding technological research, developing technology, and using that technology.
